New Diamond Technology Creates the Illusion of a Super Sized Diamond
When we start shopping for diamonds for that special occasion, we all want to create the perfect balance between size, quality and price. But it’s no secret that the higher carat value of a diamond correlates with its price when we look at diamonds that fall under the same quality group. Up until now, we probably had to settle for a lower quality diamond if we wanted to buy a bigger and more noticeable gemstone. However, this is all about to change with the introduction of the revolutionary new method of diamond technology developed by Israeli masterminds at Majestic Jewelry.
Majestic Jewelry, an Israeli based company established in 1997 can take pride in their extraordinary and patented precision technology. With the help of this pioneering and ground breaking technique, Majestic Jewelry is able to transform a number of smaller and less valuable diamonds into a seemingly super sized jewel. This technology, which was actually initially applied for optical uses, is based on one simple concept, and that is extra fine precision. The basic idea behind this technique is to meticulously set the diamonds in a very close-fitting manner so that they appear to be one single unit. In fact, each diamond is set next to an adjacent diamond in such a way that it doesn’t form a gap that is bigger than 0.01 mm – that’s about the width of a human hair! The managing director of Majestic Jewelry, Roni Stschik elaborates on this technique: “The key word is precision. We calibrate and cut each specific diamond exactly to its setting”. That is the reason why a cluster of diamonds could give the illusion of a uniform larger piece.
In order to create the illusion of a single heart shaped diamond pendant, for example, Majestic Jewelry will have to carefully arrange a cluster of 34 different diamonds. Craftsmen at Majestic Jewelry scrupulously look for diamonds which when combined together will be able to create the overall shape desired. Therefore, it could be easily understood why Stschik argues that in fact “each piece is like a puzzle”. In this particular example, Majestic will have to use diamonds of 19 different shapes in order to achieve their overall desired look of a heart-shaped diamond pendant. By using this technique, Majestic Jewelry is able to create just about any diamond shape in virtually any size requested. A pair of 3.0 carat dangling pear shaped diamond earrings or a seemingly massive 5.0 carat solitaire diamond engagement ring, just to name a few of the dazzling pieces of jewelry that can be made as a result of this fascinating new method of diamond technology.
