It seems as though diamond jewelry has and always will be the ultimate accessory when it comes to star studded Hollywood events such as various award shows, charity functions and movie premiers. This year’s 61st annual Emmy awards (held on the 21st of September) were no exception. The stars simply sparkled while strutting the red carpet of this sensational event. Classical and modern styled diamond rings, bracelets, long necklaces and pendants (designed by Martin Katz, Chopard, Lorraine Schwartz, Fred Leighton and Neil Lane) were all the rage at this glamorous Hollywood bash.

Perhaps the most popular item worn on this year’s Emmy’s red carpet was dangling diamond earrings. Alicia Witt wore dazzling Martin Katz earrings, studded with black, brown and cognac colored diamonds. Blake Lively (star of the hit TV series, Gossip Girl) sported amazing Lorraine Schwartz diamond stud earrings measuring in at an astounding 22 carats, while Dana Delaney, also wearing Lorraine Schwartz, went for a more subtle look with small yet elegant oval diamond stud earrings.

Also seen on the red carpet were beautifully crafted diamond bracelets worn by well renowned actresses such as Elizabeth Moss, which was photographed sporting a 35 carat cushion shaped diamond tennis bracelet and two additional amazing Chopard bracelets set with fancy colored diamonds totaling a whopping 54 carats, and Mila Kunis who wore a vintage diamond bow bracelet, designed by jeweler Fred Leighton.

When it comes to red carpet jewelry styles, the layered look is considered to be both elegant and chic. Silver screen goddess, Kate Walsh, wore an amazing array of diamond gold bracelets, which were thickly stacked onto one arm, while Lisa Edelstein wore a multitude of layered diamond necklaces and yellow gold bracelets and Alyson Hannigan sported Chopard diamond encrusted rings.

The best diamond jewelry look of the night goes to Anna Gunn, star of the hit TV show, ‘Breaking Bad’, which wore the new Everlon diamond knot set which included stunning dangling diamond earrings, a four row diamond tennis bracelet and a marquise-cut diamond ring.
