Why is my diamond milky in color?

I know that colorless diamonds are also called "white diamonds", but that doesn't mean that my diamond is actually supposed to be white, does it? I don't like this milky color that my diamond's possesses. Does it mean something's wrong with it or is it something all of you diamond experts tolerate?

It means that your diamond has a high grade of fluorescence, which may cause some stones to appear oily or cloudy in color.

Milky color resulting of fluorescence means that the fluorescence is extremely intense. I came across many diamonds that were fluorescence projecting under UV light, though under normal lighting they appeared completely normal and flawless. Are you sure that your diamond is milky or maybe it has some clouds or clarity imperfections? Is this milky color phenomenon a new thing, or did you notice it right away after obtaining the diamond. If you could check up your diamond's grading report and see what is written under the "fluorescence" article that could be very informative. If the diamond has been recently purchased then asking the jeweler who sold it could also provide you some info and tips. Unless the person who purchased the diamond has been warned about intense diamond fluorescence or milky color I assume he/she has a good reason to get a refund. It all depends under which circumstances the diamond has been purchased...
