First, I think it's really sweet of you to want to get your boyfriend a bracelet, I'm sure he will not only love what you end up buying him but also the thought behind it as well. The first helpful bit of information I could give you is to tell you that men prefer the more robust and thick styles for bracelets. You don't want to get him a thin looking bracelet because it might end up looking somewhat effeminate if you do so. If you want to make sure that the bracelet will last, I suggest investing in a bracelet which is made from good material. The most expensive material you could get for a bracelet is most probably platinum, but there are other metals that could be just as good. You should definitely go for tungsten carbide or solid titanium as the choice for your material, as they are considerably cheaper and yet much more durable. I'm not sure what your budget is, but you could still get a really nice bracelet for as low as $50 dollars. The more budget you have, obviously the better quality you can get. When it comes to the actual detailing and design of the bracelet, it's very individual. Some men prefer a certain style while others don't find it as attractive at all; it really depends on personal taste. I could tell you that personally, I prefer sleek and clean designs, and I am particularly fond of the combination of black and silver. So if you happen to find a design which incorporates black gemstones or has some sort of black detailing, it could be a good choice. Just bear in mind that he might not like what you buy him, so remember to make sure of the store's exchange/return policy before you purchase anything from them. That way your boyfriend could personally go to the jewelry store to pick something out himself if he won't like your gift.

Although you seem like a sweet girl, and you have good intentions, I don't really think that getting your boyfriend a bracelet is such a good idea. Unless your boyfriend is already a fan of bracelets, I strongly suggest to avoid getting him this kind of jewelry. Not a lot of men enjoy wearing jewelry, let alone bracelets, so don't be surprised if he wouldn't like it either. If on the other hand he wears bracelets anyway, the best advice I could give you is try to match your gift style for style to what he already has. That way you can be sure ahead of time that he will genuinely appreciate your present.

Just like someone had mentioned before me, by far the most popular style for men's bracelets has to be the titanium band accentuated with black rubber. The good thing about titanium is that it is very light weight. Therefore, even someone who never wore a bracelet before in his life will get used to this feeling quite fast. As a matter of fact, getting used to wearing bracelets is not as hard as getting used to wearing a wedding ring, for example. After all, a bracelet is actually quite similar to a watch to some sort of extent so it shouldn't be too hard to get used to. Another important fact about titanium is that it is hypoallergenic and thus it is suitable for all skin types. I think you should definitely go for a bracelet design which combines bold black rubber accents along the bracelet - this greatly contributes to the overall masculine look of the bracelet, and a lot of men opt for this same exact style. Just over a year ago I bought myself my very first bracelet after seeing one of my friends wearing one. I actually went online and managed to find what I had in mind in a matter of seconds. I bought myself a solid titanium link bracelet which has a center band of black rubber all along the bracelet. By the way, it wasn't that expensive, it was even less than $45 dollars if I remember correctly. Anyway, I haven't taken it off from my wrist ever since I bought it, and I still receive plenty of compliments about it from all my friends and family. So I wish you good luck with finding a bracelet for your boyfriend (try online sites – they offer the best prices). He will really appreciate this sort of gift, I know I would!
