What is a diamond ring guard- and is it connected to anniversaries?

A diamond ring guard is a shell that you can buy that frames a solitaire diamond ring, and can also "enhance" the original ring. The general idea of a diamond ring guard is simply to protect the ring. Many solitaire diamond engagement rings are very delicate, and have edges or showcase metals that can easily be scratched or damaged. Fragile prongs and other settings can also potentially be warped or twisted. A diamond ring guard is placed over the original ring and acts a barrier between the precious metals and gems and any hazardous elements. Diamond ring guards therefore help many people avoid costly repairs and replacements: especially those who feel like they are terrible at taking care of their valuable things.
