I'm getting married in a couple of months and I want to buy my bride's maids gifts. Is diamond jewelry appropriate?

I saw these gorgeous diamond pendant necklaces that would go amazingly with their strapless brides maids dresses, plus I want to give them a gift that really expresses my true gratitude and love. All of them have been my best friends since childhood, and price is no matter.

I don't think you should go with diamond jewelry as a bridesmaid's gift. I mean do you really want your bridesmaids to outshine and out-sparkle you on your special day? The bride should be the only one to wear such extravagant jewelry on her special day. If you insist on getting your bridesmaids jewelry, then perhaps you should get them more modest pieces, set with birthstones or with colorful gemstones. As long as the jewelry you get your bridesmaids is understated and elegant, and isn't overly flashy, it'll look great on them and will not upstage your appearance. If you do decide on giving your bridesmaids colorful gemstone jewelry as gifts, just make sure that the color of gemstone you choose matches the bridesmaid's gowns, you wouldn't want the gemstone set jewelry to clash with their dresses, and attract negative attention to their appearance.

Of course it is. What bride's maid would refuse free diamond jewelry? Diamonds aren't exclusively for the bride or groom. If you can afford it, you can certainly buy them diamond tennis bracelets or diamond pendants (perhaps you can engrave the date of your wedding on the jewelry to make it a little more meaningful). On the other hand, if your budget is a little more modest, you can buy your bride's maids jewelry set with your birthstone (assuming the stone isn't expensive) or, if you want to make the gift a little more personal and unique, you can set the jewelry with each of their birthstones. Colored gemstones are a lovely and affordable alternative to diamonds.

If you can afford such a luxurious gift then sure, why not? There's nothing more elegant then diamond jewelry. Diamond jewelry will nicely complement your bridesmaid's gown I'm sure. You can basically go with any type of diamond jewelry, from diamond tennis bracelets, to diamond encrusted bangles, diamond stud earrings, diamond pendants, diamond rings, etc. If, however, you can't afford diamond jewelry, yet still want to get your bridesmaids nice jewelry, then I suggest you consider pearl jewelry. Jewelry set with pearls is classy and elegant. Pearl jewelry is traditionally worn by brides and their bridal party, so this type of precious gemstone jewelry would definitely be an appropriate gift for your bridesmaids.
