I don't want to buy my wife an anniversary ring. What are my other options?

She always says that her engagement ring and wedding ring are a lot, and she has really little hands. It's our 5th anniversary coming up, and I'm trying to think of a really special present, because this is a big number for us (5 years married and 10 years together). What are some other options other than the traditional ring?

Well, you don't have to do anything by the book! In fact, in this case there really isn't a book :) Just think of what her favorite kind of jewelry is, assuming it is not rings! You could get her a special diamond bracelet, or a necklace. One really good idea is a diamond journey necklace. It's a pretty unique design, with a sort of circular, looping pendant made of a succession of diamonds in a row, usually going from big to small... the great thing is that it symbolizes the continuation of your relationship, which is why it's called a journey necklace. Another traditional idea, if she's more of a traditional girl, is a three-diamond forever necklace, where each diamond represents something (past, present, future) and the diamonds can be more prominent even than the journey necklace. Anyway, if you don't need it to have some sentimental significance, then you can really just get creative and think about what she would like and just go for it. Another sweet idea would be to design your own necklace, bracelet, or earring set keeping her style in mind. That could also end up being a very popular anniversary gift for her!
