What types of children's diamond gifts are there?

My little niece is celebrating her 6th birthday in a couple of weeks. My sister have mentioned recently that she thinks her daughter is old enough to start wearing jewelry (an I'm sure that the girl herself will also love to wear such precious items), so I thought that giving her a diamond jewelry gift would make everybody pleased (and make me seem like a very generous aunt). What are the recommended diamond jewelry gifts for a six years old girl? I want something that would obviously be suitable for a child (concerning safety measurements) but not something that would be too childish if you know what I mean. After all, one of the biggest pleasures a young girl can experience is feeling like a grown up lady:).
