My daughter is turning three and I thought I'd buy her a diamond pendant. What do you recommend for a toddler?

Is there such a thing as baby jewelry? And if so, is it appropriate for children at a younger age? Where can I find some cool baby jewelry? Can the jewelry be set with birthstones or precious gemstones? What does baby jewelry look like? Could you elaborate on the various aspects of baby jewelry?

I would strongly recommend buying your toddler a diamond studded heart shaped pendant for her upcoming third birthday. I think that out of the whole array of pendant possibilities to choose from, opting for a heart shaped pendant is by far the best choice. That is because your daughter could appreciate and continue to enjoy the diamond studded heart necklace for many years to come. The heart shape pendant is very popular due to its girly and innocent connation by both little girls and older women at the same time. This kind of pendant necklace could become one that your daughter will always wear around her neck as a good luck charm. The good thing about a diamond heart is that it will never go out of fashion. From children's age, to teenage years and all the way up to adulthood, this certain diamond design could be loved and admired by all ages. Another good idea I just thought of is maybe to buy your daughter a split heart diamond pendant necklace, and give one section of the heart to your daughter and the other section to your wife. This way, not only does this gift represent a special bond between mother and daughter, but your wife will not feel left out on all of this: you wouldn't want her to be jealous that her little girl is receiving diamond jewelry, and not her now, would you? Haha, just joking, of course. But bottom line, if it were me, I would definitely go for a heart shaped pendant, as it captures both appeal and ageless design.

I would recommend buying diamond earrings, but only if she already has her ears pierced. Clip-on earrings can fall off easily and with toddlers being active and clumsy, I wouldn't suggest it. If she does have her ears pierced, look for diamond earrings that are made with hypoallergenic metal, that have safe screw in backs (so that they don't fall out or hurt her neck, and that are cute and adorable just like her). Otherwise, I would recommend a diamond bracelet or locket. A diamond charm bracelet is cute, intimate, and safe, and it gives you the opportunity to add on another diamond charm each year with each birthday. A locket is also a beautiful jewelry gift. It can be engraved, carry a picture, or hold a happy birthday wish inside. There are lots of diamond lockets specifically designed by children's jewelry designers that come in fun, young shapes and are made to hold up to wear and tear.
