Diamonds and fairytales..what pops to mind is prince charming proposing to Cinderella with a huge diamond engagement ring. I'm assuming that that isn't the direction you're going for with your daughter. I personally would avoid buying diamond jewelry for a ten year old, she probably won't appreciate the value of this luxurious gemstone and she may prefer inexpensive colorful gemstone encrusted jewelry instead. Consider getting her turquoise earrings, amethyst embedded bracelets or a pendant mounted with her birthstone. If you insist on buying her diamond jewelry then perhaps you should go with a charm or pendant with a more childish shape, like a fairy or a rocking horse, so the jewelry won't look too grown up.

A nice diamond bracelet is the most appropriate diamond jewelry for a 10 year old in my opinion. Maybe the bracelet design can include some nice fancy gemstones, instead or in addition to diamonds, which could suit her and make her feel like she is a fairy tale princess, without wearing jewelry that is too mature for her age.
