What about alternative kinds of three-stone jewelry?

I really want to get my girlfriend a special diamond engagement ring with a meaning behind it like three-stone rings have, but she doesn't like rings and specifically said that she hopes I never propose to her with one. She has been thinking of getting some body piercing, and I thought maybe there's something I can do about that that would be meaningful and sweet? Any help out there please?!?!?!

Well, there are long-dangle three stone diamond belly button rings. I mean...finding a diamond one would be a little hard, maybe, you might even have to make a design yourself and find a jeweler to execute it for you, but the idea would be there, and you could really surprise her with your creativity. It's maybe a really good idea... It has everything you're asking about. 1) it isn't a ring 2) it's body jewelry 3) it can be made from diamonds or gemstones of your choice 3) it's creative 4) it has the three-stone idea so you can say something sentimental with it, even though it isn't a person's standard engagement ring. I think your girlfriend would be silly not to be touched by your thoughtfulness if you bought her something like that! :)

Well, that's great (the above answer) but it's not your only option. You can find other designs of three-stone belly button rings. And you could also get her three diamond rings to put in her ears if she is getting a second ear piercing...that's a slightly less invasive idea! Or you could get her a special three-stone diamond necklace (the past, present, future design...very sentimental) which she would have and be able to wear her whole life. The only problem I can see with the belly button ring idea, is that at some point she is very likely to not want to wear it anymore... With a necklace she can't get to the point where she doesn't want it. Also, not many people on a day-to-day basis will look at her belly button, and a dangly belly button ring can really get in the way, get stuck on clothes, and maybe even hurt her. Unless you live in Hawaii, or somewhere else where there's a big beach, I don't know if it's really a great idea for every single day.
