What's the difference between a nose ring and a nose jewel?

I'm confused. I read on the website of a piercing place that they do nose rings and nose jewels. I had no idea these were separate concepts. Clarification would be greatly appreciated!

As far as I know, a "nose jewel" is a biblical style nose piece. They were mentioned in the bible in several places and apparently were considered very valuable female ornaments. They were quite big, about an inch diameter or more and hung over the mouth. They were made of gold or other metals or of ivory. I haven't heard nose piercings referred to as "nose jewels" in any other context. As for other nose rings, well there are all kinds. There are nostril piercings which are just that - piercings in one nostril, which enable you to wear a little nose loop or nose stud with an L-bar closure or a ball closure. Then there are nasal septum piercings which are piercings in the gap between the cartilage (that wall that divides the two nostrils) and the bottom of the nose. These can be kind of painful and take up to three months to heal. People with these piercings can wear captive bead rings, "tusks", pinchers and plugs, or septum retainers.
Last but not least there is also a type of nose piercing called a "bridge piercing". These are inserted through the skin at the top of the nose (not through the bone.) This type of piercing enables one to wear barbells just above their nose. they are less popular than other types of nose piercing.
