well, one of the first beading kits I got was two pieces of fine threading and a selection of seed beads and a fastener which was supposed to be turned into a carry case for a thread cutter. my mom helped with putting everything together and asked me which color assortment pattern i wanted.. which i would recommend for anyone. if the project is not one that you designed on your own, you should you should probably buy a new copy of the project instructions or book or magazine where the instructions can be found... and i wouldn't recommend making a copy of instructions from somebody else... you will want to make sure that the kit includes the appropriate type and thickness of thread for the project. you should probably make sure that the thread color matches the bead colors that you have chosen for the project kit as well. you can either use the same colors as pictured in the project or you can customize the beads, like my friend did for me with the thread cutter pouch. if you know someone who loves a certain color, you can choose a palette of water colors of that specific color. or if the person loves a different color, you can include a palette of red and pink. if you want a great finishing touch, you can add some jump rings and ear wires, even clasps. you can also include any crimps or wire that might be required to give the piece a professional touch. if the project warrants some kind of needle like a sharp needle, you can include a few of these stuck into a piece of card stock. Include a soft cloth pouch or a sturdy wood and velvet-lined gift box with the kit. this can double as a container in which to put all the kit components and then can be used to store the finished piece of bead work. you could also consider including a small bust, bracelet display, or possibly earring display.

probably a kit to make handmade jewelry out of beads! just like the old-fashioned way. probably includes everything you could possibly need to make your necklaces, bracelets, earrings? not sure... but i'm sure there are other things involved in making hand-made jewelry, like thread (or maybe yarn? gimp?), needle, colorful (or not) beads... hmmm what else? it might come with instructions or ideas for different kinds of handmade jewelry you can make - and probably how to make them. oh yeah, maybe wire too. i used to make bracelets out of gimp when i was at camp when i was younger and the gimp came in this container or kit. and it had these pamphlets for how to make different gimp bracelet designs. so maybe it's like that but for beads of different shapes, sizes, and colors.
