Every year for our anniversary I get my wife diamond or pearl jewelry. I've noticed that her collection is pretty big at this point and I thought I'd get her a jewelry box instead of jewelry. Does anyone have any suggestions of what kind of box I should get her?

I think it would be especially charming if you got a music box jewelry box- one that is a quality jewelry box of course, and you program it with the song you danced to at your wedding or with another really romantic song. Then every time she opens it she will be reminded of your wedding night and your amazing marriage!

I think that if your wife already has a large jewelry collection, you might want to consider getting her a real, quality jewelry box. First, make sure it's wood, it's well-lined with velvet, cloth, or some other soft fabric. Also, it should have a separate place for rings, a hanging space for necklaces, and drawers with dividers for earrings, brooches, and other jewelry items. The nicest ones also have locks, and usually seal very tight. Finally, make sure the box is to her taste. You want it to look good in your bedroom and you want her to appreciate the aesthetic.
Here's a nice romantic idea: After you pick out the right box, maybe place a charm bracelet in the big, center compartment, and surround it with small heart-shaped boxes, or small velvet pouches and fill each one with a charm that she can place on the bracelet.
