Is costume jewelry popular nowadays?

of course! i've seen on celebrity magazine covers, lot of celebrities adorning all kinds of costume jewelry - big colorful necklaces, etc. i actually think that costume jewelry is really making its way back into the fashion world.

costume jewelry is a kind of jewelry that never goes out of style because it has a kind of retro feel to it. kind of like the old school hollywood of the 1950s. actually, come to think of it, a lot of old school fashion stays relevant, since people like to hold on to things that remind them of the past, that have a nostalgic feel to them. and i think that's very much true of costume jewelry... the big colorful beads give an old school air. and people who wear them, in my opinion, are making a statement... that old-fashioned is hip. trends aren't set and then fade forever. remember, trends come and go. and people who are bold enough to make a fashion statement based on something that supposedly went out of style, are generally the ones that start the trend again. so sorry to ramble on and on, but yeah, i think that costume jewelry is still very much popular - even if you don't see it anywhere. but you are probably more likely to see it in hollywood. and that's really where a lot of the latest fashion trends get started... slowly spreading to other parts of the country and the world.

yeah i agree... i do think that costume jewelry is becoming quite popular again. it's like, one person starts wearing it, and everyone follows. yeah and especially in hollywood where fashion trends are often started.
