How can I turn silver colored jewelry gold?

I have this beautiful silver necklace but I don't really like silvery-colored metal jewelry. I much prefer warm gold tones. Is there any way I can turn my silver jewelry gold (at least in color)?

Who are you, King Midas? You can't turn silver into gold. Just go out and get yourself a new piece of gold jewelry if gold is what you're after. Silver jewelry that you paint gold won't actually look gold, and when the color starts coming off it will look like crap. Alchemy is out hon, they discovered it doesn't work hundreds of years ago.

The best way for you to turn it gold would be to get it gold plated. You could also try using a gold dip, but gold dip is expensive and you could ruin your jewelry if you don't know what you're doing.

Gold plating is the best way to turn silver jewelry into a gold color. It is actually a method I've used before since I found out that I was sensitive to silver. If it is done professionally, then what you end up with is a jewelry item plated with gold, that looks like pure gold. No one can determine, with the naked eye, that it actually is silver underneath.

I suppose you could use a metallic gold spray to color your silver jewelry gold. However, I don't think that gold spray will look luxurious and I don't believe that the spray will be permanent. Your best bet would be to take your silver jewelry to a jeweler and have him electroplate a thin gold layer onto your jewelry.
