I was thinking of getting myself a designer charm bracelet that spells out either dior or has the tiffany logo- it just seems like everyone has them and that they are really stylish. What do you think?

I think that you are right- these products are really stylish. For some reason, the brand as a design has become really popular. This is not only on jewelry. This is also with clothing, with technological products- with lots of stuff! Now that doesn't mean you have to go out and buy labeled stuff just because its stylish. In fact, I usually think that these pieces of jewelry are way over-priced and don't say anything much about the wearer aside from that they have decided to join the "rich" status-quo. If you're going to go for a charm bracelet, and a designer one at that, get one that really represents YOU and your experience and your personality. That is the point of a charm bracelet anyway- to have sentimental or at least a personal touch. I really feel like jewelry can be either meaningful or completely meaningless. I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with meaningless jewelry (except, again, for the frequently exaggerated prices) but I think that there is something really nice and really beautiful about jewelry that means something to the wearer. Charm bracelets can be such magical pieces of jewelry, bringing happiness to you whenever you wear them simply from looking at the little charms and remembering what they are attached to or who they are from.

I don't think you need to be all sappy with charm bracelets. Those tiffany and dior bracelets are hot! If you ask me, go for whatever style you like. If you like the way the brand name looks, so then do it. You don't need all of your jewelry, even if it is a charm bracelet, you don't need it to be loaded with some sappy sentimental goo. If you really want a cool looking designer charm bracelet, you might want to check out the YvesSL charm bracelet which I'm pretty sure is sold at Sax (it's really modern and cool!) or the Alexander McQueen Skull charm bracelet if you want more hard core rocker style. These are both really nice pieces and I think they also show your personal style. Labels aren't lacking in style. Each label or brand has its own character and its own "type" of buyer. You are showing what kind of "looks" you like no matter what jewelry you wear. So do what makes you feel good. Don't go spending money on something that you feel should make you feel sentimental even though you aren't a sentimental person.
