Well, I know most girls don't like men's earrings, men's bracelet are also somewhat feminine, but what's the deal with men's necklaces, some of them are quite masculine, aren't they?

I disagree, I think men's necklaces can be both fashionable and current, and can be worn at any age on any occasion. When one thinks of men's necklaces, one immediately assumes that the chain will be heavy and bulky, that the pendant will be gaudy and that the metal will look cheesy, when in fact men's necklaces can be made in a variety of styles, shapes and sizes and can look quite elegant and classy. The chains can be finely crafted with silvery-white metals such as platinum, titanium or white gold. They can be plain or gemstone encrusted, bulky or dainty, flashy or modest. It all comes down to the man's personal taste, style and preference.

Sleazy central! I hate men in necklaces. Plus they always end up unbuttoning their shirt an extra button to show off their bling - and their chest hair. Bleh. If you want to look sharp, get an expensive tailored shirt, a good hair cut and some sleak shoes and that should do the trick. And if you still want to buy jewelry, buy it for your woman.

Men's necklaces are not only fashionable, but they are surprisingly common. I really don't understand what these other responders have against men's necklaces. Men's neckalces also range greatly in styles and designs. For example, some men's necklaces are made of string, others of gold, some of silver, others of titanium. There are still other men's necklaces that are made of help and others that have wood beads. I have lots of friends that wear various kinds of necklaces, and they are successful, good looking men. But I also think that all of these silly stereotypes about jewelry should be thrown out the window. We are living in the 21st century. It's time to wear whatever you jewelry you want to.

Men's necklaces is one of the only jewelry items that just doesn't look good on you once you pass a certain age. I can understand that many teenage boys like wearing them, as any heavy chain makes them feel more manly and tough, but for adult guys it really doesn't work and rather express a sort of immaturity. At least that is the association I get when I see a guy with a men's necklace...

Men's necklaces look fine when wearing casual clothes or when going out partying. In daily life, especially in one's work place they don't really suit the atmosphere. Necklaces can seem more like a hip-hop jewelry or an large flashy item that expresses an angry attitude and not just a simple decorative piece of jewelry if one picks something that's large and heavy. A thin delicate necklace chain can also seemsfeminine while a heavy chain makes a man look like he's for a fist fight. Because of this, you should be careful when buying a men's necklace.
