I know that you can easily customize your charm bracelet, but can you custom make a charm? I've had this idea for a very specific and special charm that I've wanted to make for a while. Are there high-end jewelers that will custom make this?

If you have enough money and know the right people you can custom make just about anything. I know that there are plenty of LA and NYC companies that are super luxury companies designed to cater to celebrities and stars with lots of money who want all sorts of custom made jewerly. What I'm getting at is that, yes, it is possible to custom make a charm, but it might cost you. If you don't want to use quality materials and you don't mind creating your charm out of silver, for example, then there are PLENTY of companies and jewelers out there who would be happy to create your vision. If, however, you're thinking of some sort of diamond-studded, gold or platinum, extravagant piece, then you're really going to have to talk to the people who know jewelry. I'd give a call to the big names like Tiffanys or Sax or Bloomingdales- these kinds of stores would either be able to do your willing, or would be able to point you in the right direction.

You don't need to go to a high-end jeweler in order to custom make a charm. There are plenty of websites on the internet that offer custom designing and fashioning services. Now, if you want to use materials that will cost you, like diamonds, gemstones, gold, high quality silver, or platinum and such, this will obviously require that you approach a luxury company. But what is this charm for? Who is it for? Are you willing to spend that much money on custom-making a charm?

Of course its possible to custom make a charm. Now, you might want to be pretty specific with the charm you want to make and you might even want to consider making a few copies of this custom made charm depending on what the cost is. But, if you ask me, custom making a charm is a wonderful idea. Whether it is for you or whether it is a gift, a custom made charm is fun to wear and extra-special.
