Right now she just uses her cell phone to tell time, so I can't use her previous watch as an example for what to get. Otherwise, I don't know much about her taste in jewelry except that she doesn't like cheap stuff. She'd rather go without jewelry at all that were trashy imitation jewelry.

Another idea for women's watches could be a birthstone encrusted Mother's watch. Mother's jewelry can be anything from watches to pendants, necklaces to earrings, brooches to bracelets. These items are personalized by the mother's children's birthstones, which are set into the piece by order of birth (the mother's birthstone will be set up top, the eldest child's birthstone set second, etc.). Mother's watches make for a lovely, unique and sentimental gift. If the two of you do not have any children, then the watch can be set with you and your wife's birthstones, and can be engraved with your names, memorable dates, or with sentimental lines.

You can probably get a good idea of what kind of watch your wife would like by paying attention to the style of her jewelry. Does she tend to wear subtle jewelry or flashy jewelry? Of course her character and her job can play into the choice of watch that would be most suitable for her as well. If your wife is a busy business woman then she would probably appreciate women's watches that are both practical and elegant. I would suggest a modern style, perhaps with some tiny diamonds around the dial. If your spouse has a sporty style and an active lifestyle, then you should look for women's watches that are sporty as well. It's important not to get a watch that's too delicate for this type of woman because it needs to withstand all the activities she participates in. A water proof is a good idea in case she wants to go swimming, and the watch face should also be scratch resistant, preferably made of mineral crystal glass. If your wife is a romantic woman then she will probably like classic style women's watches with some softness to them. Gentle shapes like ovals and rectangles, some white diamond paving, perhaps a heart on the watch dial will do the trick. A watch band that resembles a bracelet can also be a nice touch. If the lady in your life likes to bask in the spotlight then she would probably like extravagant women's watches. If this is the case, you can feel free to take women's watches with bright colors and gemstones into consideration. Perhaps even a large watch face to catch the eyes of onlookers. A beautiful watch is a wonderful way to express the way you feel about the one you love so I'm sure she will appreciate any of the women's watches you choose for her.
