Buying a rough diamond for a pet?

My husband thinks we should decorate our dog's color with a rough diamond. What do you think?

Have you heard of Cubic Zirconiums (CZs)? I think that this could be a great alternative for you, your husband and your dog. Technology today has allowed for the creation of some really beautiful, diamond-like CZs. There are plenty of celebs that wear dresses, shoes, headpieces and the like decorated with thousands of CZs. Some people even wear them as an alternative to diamonds so that they can be 100% sure not to purchase conflict diamonds. In fact, synthetic diamond look alikes are becoming quite popular amongst not only us lay people, but celebs as well. These look alikes are far, far less expensive than diamonds and you don’t have to worry about your dog losing its collar, or scratching a diamond off. I personally, would ask my husband to decorate ME in diamonds, and the DOG in synthetics.

Why don't you invest your money in something more pet-useful and friendly, like a doggy treat or brand new collar. I don't see the purpose of gemstones for a pet of any kind. And trust me, the dog won't care one way or the other!

You know what, I've heard of stranger things. You could try to attach the diamond if you really care about giving your dog a fashionable collar!

A rough diamond on a collar? Seriously? I don't know about that. I mean, how would you even attach it to the collar? Glue it on? Never heard about anything like that. I guess you can look online and see if people have ever attached a gem to a dog collar, but I'm skeptical about this whole thing.

Do you think your dog would appreciate the gesture? I doubt it. And what if the rough diamonds detaches from the collar? All that money gone to waste. I don't know why you'd even risk it. I wouldn't do it. But hey, if your husband is really set on this, then see what happens.
