I recently got divorced and I'm wondering if there are different kinds of divorce rings?

I know that divorce rings exist... I'm wondering if there is more than one kind of divorce ring or if there is one standard kind of ring.

Yes, as mentioned by one of the other people responding, there are various kinds of divorce rings, so if you're looking into buying one you can be assured that you have options... Don't feel like there's limits to your ring consumption. I think since divorce rings are getting more popular, ring designers will be creating a larger variety of rings for the tastes of a wide variety of consumers.

I'm not sure. I heard that divorce rings are made of different metals, so I guess it's true. I think when it comes to divorce rings, you really have a lot of leeway, in that you can choose what kinds of metals or what kind of style suits you best. There is no pressure getting a certain design, it's more about what you feel comfortable with and how to wear something that you feel proud to show off. There are no rules when it comes to the divorce ring design, since it's a new trend and since it might be a somewhat touchy subject. So don't feel like you need to live up to a certain standard, it is about your fashion preference and what you want to wear and how you want to wear it.

Well, actually there is also another type of a divorce ring, which is called a transition ring. These kinds of rings generally mark a certain occasion in one's life, whether it be graduation, retirement or even divorce. Every transition ring depicts a certain image which symbolizes a certain event or feeling. So for example, when it comes to divorce rings, the transition ring most commonly used will be that which incorporates an image of the sun and its rays. This is of course the obvious representation of a new dawn, which symbolizes the commencement of a new chapter in life after one's divorce. So there you have it – you don't always need to buy the classic split-band ring most commonly associated with divorce rings, but you could also go for transition rings which do just the same trick. It's really up to you and the feelings you want to convey to people when they see the ring on your finger.

Yep. There are different kinds of divorce rings. You can get one designed with a wide variety of metals, such as gold or silver, platinum... etc. No need to feel like you're limited. And yeah, it's really flexible as far as the break - depending on how recent your divorce was, what you want to convey when you show it off to the world. There definitely isn't a right or wrong kind of ring - and I'll go as far as saying that there's no right or wrong way to wear it. This is about YOU and your ability to move on and to feel proud of where you are at in life.

As far as I know, divorce rings come in a range of different styles to choose from... such that some represent a more recent divorce. Additionally, there is diversity in the types of precious metals and gemstones that are used to manufacture these rings, varying from yellow to white gold, silver, and platinum. That's all I really know about that.

When it comes to divorce rings, there is definitely a crowd favorite. The most popular ring choice by far is that which is designed as a "split band". The ring is usually made from yellow gold and incorporates three bands of white gold stripes on either side of the crack. These three bands actually represent the three stages that brought about the divorce: the time the two of you met, the time you got married and of course the time you divorced. A lot of divorce ring designs incorporate the two types of gold the other way around, meaning the base band is white gold and the three strips are made from yellow gold. This is entirely up to you, but I would go with the classic yellow gold base if I were you! Whatever you do, make sure you wear your divorce ring proudly and believe in what it stands for… I hope it will help you come to terms with reality as much as it helped me when I was going through my divorce. It was a constant reminder of the new and better path I chose to take. Good luck with everything, I hope it will all work out!
