A divorce ring?! Is this for real?! What are we going to come up with next? A "cheat-on-me ring" to show everyone that we have been cheated on?! Come on!

Yes, I'm completely with you on this. I was really shocked when I first heard about "divorce rings". I actually thought my friend was pulling my leg when she told me about it. It just sounds so pointless, as you so bluntly put it. I really don't understand why anyone would wear a divorce ring. I don't feel it's something to feel proud about, I mean it's not a gorgeous diamond engagement ring you can't wait to show all your friends. It actually symbolizes failure and disappointment – why would anyone want to show this off?!

Well, as stupid as a divorce ring may sound, let me tell you there is much worse out there which I'm sure you'll feel even more shocked about. For example: a wedding band coffin to suit your divorced needs. Yes, you heard me. A coffin. For a wedding ring. It's a miniature wooden coffin designed to store the wedding band of your botched marriage. The guys behind this crazy idea boast that it's the ultimate way to bury the past and move on to a new tomorrow, and I'm quoting: "Give a dead marriage its proper, final resting place". If you thought divorce rings were crazy, you better think again…

Although I do not completely understand this idea, I still feel that I have no right to judge anyone on what they decide to do. If a person chooses to wear a divorce ring, who am I to pass critique on him?! I'm a happily married woman and I have no idea what these guys are going through. And to be completely frank with you, I think you better face the fact that sometimes people would do certain things that contradict your beliefs and opinions. But as long as it doesn't harm anyone in any way, they should be entitled to do as they please. So what I'm trying to say is that although you don't understand why a person would wear a divorce ring, it doesn't give you the right to come here and trash it. A divorce ring might feel like a good idea to the person wearing it, so your judgmental language does not help at all and you should take it elsewhere.
