Is a diamond ring Rock'n'Roll?

I want to give my girlfriend a diamond ring that used to belong to my grandmother for Christmas. But she's not a real girly-girl. She's more of a tom boy meets punk kinda girl. She and her girlfriends have a rock group and she plays the electric guitar. Is a diamond ring Rock'n'Roll enough?

No! Diamonds are for Paris Hilton. If she's not a girly girl, she might appreciate the sentiment but it won't be her. Get her something more Rock n Roll like tickets to a concert or a new amp. Diamonds are a girly-girl's best friend. not a Rock chic's best friend. Bad move.

Dude, if you give your girl your grandmother's diamond ring, it doesnt matter who she is, she'll love it. It's a beautiful present. She might not wear it on a daily basis if diamond rings aren't really her thing, but who wouldn't appreciate a diamond ring? Of course it's a good gift. However if this was your granny's and you aren't spending money on it anyway, you might want to add something small that you buy that is more your girlfriend's style. Then you get her something little that's very her and very Rockn'Roll and also a beautiful diamond ring with a sentimental value. Who could ask for more?

OK, first of all, did you catch Adam Lambert at the 2009 American music Awards show? He was wearing diamond studs in his ears. And You really can't get a lot more Rock n Roll than Adam Lambert. And there's a lot more examples. So I say Hell yeah. Bling bling and Rock n' Roll can definitely mix. Awesome Xmas present. Lucky gal!
