Are there any fancy colored synthetic diamonds?

Seeing as synthetic diamonds are cheaper than natural diamonds, maybe it's worth it for those who can afford it, to invest in a fancy colored synthetic diamond. If synthetic diamonds are harder than naturally occurring diamonds, and cheaper, why not fo fancy?

Yeah, of course there are fancy colored synthetic diamonds. And you can hardly tell the difference between them and naturally occurring fancy diamonds. It makes sense. These are man made diamonds. Scientists can irradiate the mineral and control its color. synthetic diamonds are a lot less expensive than naturally occurring diamonds, so yeah, it might be wise to invest in a synthetic colored diamond if colored diamonds are what strikes your fancy.

If I understand correctly, during the HPHT (high pressure high temperature) process, which is one of the most popular methods used in the manufacturing of of synthetic diamonds, nitrogen impurities occur and they actually are what makes a diamond yellow. So yeah, a yellow tint can definitely be enhanced in the synthesizing process to make a fancy colored yellow diamond. The same goes for boron impurities which leave blue traces.

I think most synthetic diamonds are yellow because in the process used to synthesize them, nitrogen is trapped within the gemstone and and it gives off a yellowish tint. I'm not sure it looks like a fancy yellow diamond, maybe like a diamond with a low color grade. that's why I say natural is best.

Actually, synthetic diamonds used in the gemstone industry are usually colored. The white, or colorless synthetic diamonds are more rare. So, you'll actually be saving money buying a colored synthetic diamond rather than a colorless one. Usually synthetic diamonds are either blue or yellow. This is because during the manufacturing process, nitrogen and boron impurities occur, just like they occur in naturally occurring colored diamonds. It is harder to manufacture colorless synthetic diamonds without these impurities. Through a process called irradiation, also pink and green synthetic diamonds can be achieved.
