Are sythetic diamonds still considered passe in the diamond market?

I know that there was a brouhaha over synthetic diamonds some time in the last few years and that they were basically dubbed fakes even though they were are genuine as can be. Is this still the case?

When i went seraching for a diamond ring i was woundring about this replacment for a diamond.. but i was told (and i checked it online later) that a synthetic diamond will be broken and ugly after few months .

I dont like looking for a cheap replacment it is like buying a BMW or buying a fiat... depandes on what you are looking for and you budget.

Absolutely not! This is a great option for someone who is on a budget or who wants a 100% conflict free diamond. There are 3 main types of synthetic diamonds. One is cubic zirconia which has been around for decaded. This is the poorer of the 3 choices because it looks too perfect. It does not have the color variations and blemishes that real diamonds do. The second one is moissanite which is more similar to real diamonds, but that can have a greenish tint if the diamond is a bit larger. The last and best type is man made diamonds, which are technically real diamonds. The difference is that the geological process that regular diamonds go through is re-created in the labs and occurs much faster. Because of this, they can sell the diamonds much cheaper (time is money).
