What do Hindus believe about flawed diamonds?

I've been doing research on Hindu diamond superstitions. I've read in some places that Hindus believe flawed diamonds carry special properties. Can anyone tell me if this information is reliable and what these superstitions are?

Hindus believe that flawed diamonds are a sign of bad luck so these diamonds are seldom used in diamond jewelry in India.
