This might sound silly, but I'm curious to know if a diamond by the name of Pink Panther really exists?

This really surprised me, but I saw that a real diamond by the name of Pink Panther actually exists! Apparently, the diamond is 50.66 carats in weight, and its dimensions are 24.11x16.14x13.66 in millimeters. It was evaluated by both the GIA and the South African Diamond Board as internally flawless. The price of this Pink Panther Diamond was evaluated at $60 million USD, making it a very expensive diamond indeed.

I don’t think that the pink panther diamond really exists, buy funnily enough real diamond thieves were recently nicknamed the Pink Panthers. Authorities in Paris arrested the pink panthers duo in recent events, and they were believed to be responsible for numerous heists spreading over several years and countries. Police suspects that these pink panther thieves were the masterminds behind several diamond thefts taking place throughout Europe and Asia. Police believes that the Pink Panthers duo have stolen diamonds worth over $130 million US dollars in total over the years.

As far as I'm aware of, NO such diamond by the name of Pink Panther really exits. It was created as a fictional diamond in the Pink Panther movie series. As far as the story goes, the Shah of Lugash presented the Pink Panther diamond as a gift to his daughter, Princess Dala and it was the largest pink diamond in the world. It was named the Pink Panther due to an unusual inclusion in the diamond, resembling a leaping panther. However, like I mentioned, no such diamond exists in real life, and it is a purely fictional plot. To contradict this story, it is known that the largest pink diamond ever found in the world was a 59.60 carat fancy vivid pink diamond which is also known as the Steinmetz Pink.
