Unfortunately the metal, real or not, has little to no bearing on whether or not the stones will be real as well. The quickest and most accurate way to find out is to drop by your local jeweler. They will be able to perform a visual inspection and/or use a diamond tester to tell for sure what the stones in your ring are.
