The ring itself is made from silver and the diamond sits inside it, so I want to use this Blitz product on the silver part of my diamond ring – but is this risky for the diamond? I would really hate to cause any damage to my diamond, that would be such a pity.

There are so many home solutions for cleaning your diamond ring, that I just wouldn't personally recommend using a special silver cleaning product for this. You just don't know what the chemical composition of the product is and that's why I think it's a bit risky for your diamond – I mean, what if this Blitz product has a really strong reactant that could damage your diamond? Is that something you're willing to test? I know I wouldn't…

I also have Blitz at home and I swear by it! It cleans my silver cutlery and jewelry so beautifully and makes them shine so bright! I tried it several times with my silver jewelry that contains precious gemstones as well, and it didn't seem to damage anything! So I know from experience that you could use it with precious gemstones for sure! I have to admit though that I never used it on a diamond, but after all isn't a diamond just another type of precious gemstone? If it didn't damage my gemstones, my guess is that it wouldn't damage your diamond… But maybe I would advise you to ask around a bit more before you actually try it out.

Blitz actually comes at all different types of packaging depending on the material it's supposed to clean. I personally bought a Blitz Gem & Jewelry Cleaner Concentrate product that is toxic free and it's suitable for a range of jewelry items. The instructions on the back state that it's ideal for cleaning gold, diamond and practically any other precious or semi-precious gemstone I ever heard of. Whenever I need to clean my jewelry, including my diamond jewelry, I always use this product as I find it much more effective than all the other methods I tried over the years (and I truly believe I've tried them all!). I can admit that I am a very happy customer and I strongly recommend using this Blitz product to clean your diamond ring… needless to say that like any other cleaning product you should make a point to carefully follow their detailed instructions. Bottom line – if you purchased the specific Blitz product I mentioned above designed for gem & jewelry, feel free to use it on your diamond ring, as this is exactly what it was meant for!
