I am considering having my ear pierced, though I would like to try some earrings on for size first, to see how they look and whether I can get used to them. Is it common for men to wear clip-on earrings or will it make me look a pirot (or even worse)?

Are you talking about a single earring or piercings in both ears? As a woman, I don't really like the single piercing look on men. It's a bit outdated, like 20 years outdated? Single male ear piercings and diamond stud earrings for men were popular in the 1990s but they've been passe for years. In the early 2000s piercing in both ears (either two stud earrings or a small gold hoop in each ear) for men were popular - and totally hot, i admit, but i think those are outmoded too. Since you want to give stud earrings a try before going through with the piercing, I'd say go for magnetic earrings, but not too expensive ones because they can get lost pretty easily. Don't try clip-ons!!! the only person i've ever known to wear clip-ons in my great grandmother. They are WAY uncool, unless you're going for the retro granny look, which i assume that you're not.

Oh, hell yeah! I'm crazy about men's earrings. And stud diamonds are really awesome for both sexes. Take Adam Lambert, for instance. He's hot. I love the way his diamond studs look on him. I'm trying to convince my boyfriend to get his ears pierced. I promised him that f he does I'll buy him a pair of diamond studs. I think they're extremely sexy. I say totally go for it! Good luck!

Sure, there are many clip-on earrings for men, you can wear whatever kind you like and see how it feels. Some clip-on earrings work as unisex while special men ones could be found. Magnetic fake earrings look more authentic than other types of clip-on earrings, so can look for them when you go on your stud shopping.

It depends on the man wearing the studs, on his personal style, his overall appearance and his mannerism. Diamond stud earrings can certainly look quite stunning on a man. However, if the man in question has an overtly flamboyant personality, and tends to over-accessorize, then perhaps the diamond stud earrings may be a bit too much. Go for gold studs or silver stud earrings instead. Personally, when it comes to men's attire, I think there is nothing wrong with adding a little bit of bling. If you aren't sure , though and you want to test out clip-on earrings, I'd only recommend it if you have long hair. Clip on earrings are pretty noticeable if you can see the whole ear, and I would say that they aren't so becoming on guys.
