I love diamond studs...but I always worry that I'll be buying something expensive that no one can see.

What should I do?

Well, I think they are gorgeous at any size...but here are my tips for a style of diamond stud that is right for you.
Firstly-if you are never going to wear your hair up, short, or behind your ears, don't even bother. But if you do wear it up sometimes or have short hair, or wear it pulled back, and you're just worried the studs will be too small to show? Here are some tips:

If you have the money, buy bigger diamond studs! I guess this would already have dawned on you, so here are some other ideas. Buy a diamond stud in a setting where there is more metal detailing around the diamond to make it bigger and have it stand out better. Buy diamond studs where there is a diamond and the metal setting is like a flower with petals, those will stand out. Buy bigger design studs with pave-set diamonds inlaid in the exterior (if they are very small the price will be lower than a huge single diamond in a stud). Buy diamond studs made from brown diamonds and pearls...I saw gorgeous flower shaped ones with pave-set champagne diamonds, grey pearls set in white gold. Really something to look at. Or get black diamond studs...especially if you have lighter hair these will stand out great on you. Another idea is to get hoops that are almost studs (the ones that surround the earlobe). They are small and stud-like, but longer than normal studs and stand out a lot better! Anyway, think about these ideas and good luck finding your perfect diamond stud earrings! ! !

I guarantee you if you look at the right diamonds your studs will not go unnoticed! Also if you hae them bezel set this will give your diamonds a bigger look. Look for precision cut diamonds where the diamonds will be fiery and brilliant. Well cut diamonds can make your diamond look whiter, brighter and larger than a poorly cut diamond.
