I'm interested in buying my girlfriend some diamond earrings and I can't decide between studs and dangling earrings. Help?

In my opinion, every girl will be happy with a pair of diamond earrings no matter if they are dangle earrings or stud earrings. I think the most important thing is what kind of gift you want to give to her. Diamond stud earrings are precious, classic and tradition. They are also something that your girlfriend could potentially wear every day. Diamond dangle earrings, on the other hand, are very special, will be worn less often, but will be worn on very special occasions. They are also, typically, much more expensive. If you want to give her a simpler, more traditional gift that she will be able to wear whenever, then go for the diamond stud earrings. If you want to really spoil her with something extremely lavish and quite formal as well, then get her the diamond dangle earrings.

I think that it depends on how long you have been dating this girl. If you have been together for a while and you've already given her some nice gifts, also, if you feel like you want to impress and really spoil her, then go for the diamond dangle earrings. (although, it it's out of no where, she might get the feeling that you're "making up for something" and that you feel guilty about something and are therefore buying her an overly extravagant gift). If, on the other hand, you haven't been together for too long, but you want to show her that you are serious about the relationship, then go for the diamond earrings.

Dangling diamond earrings are often a bit more expensive than diamond stud earrings since they usually contain more diamond  (diamond stud earrings are usually set with just one solitaire diamond). On the other hand, dangling diamond earrings pick up more light, thus causing them to appear dazzling and incredibly stunning, while diamond stud earrings are a bit more demure and classical. If your gal is more modest when it comes to her taste in diamond jewelry I suggest getting her diamond stud earrings, if she likes the bling go for the dangling!

The first thing you should consider is her lifestyle. Is she a girl that likes to go out and get dressed up on fancy occasions? When you go out to bars and clubs is she wearing long, dangling earrings, or typically shorter earrings? Also, when she isn't going out, is she one to wear simple studs, does she go without earrings or does she still enjoy wearing a pair of dangly, yet casual, earrings? If you notice her inclination to longer earrings, than I'd say, go for long diamond earrings. However, if you notice that she enjoys smaller earrings, or is less inclined to wear earrings in general, than go for the diamond studs.
