For my past birthday my parents got me this amazing diamond tennis bracelet. I've never really worn bracelets before and the bracelet seems to fit fine, but it's a little dangly. How do I know if it's the right fit for me? If it's a little loose does that mean I have to have it re-sized?

If your diamond tennis bracelet is too big, then it is very important to take care of this matter straight away, seeing as you don't want any unpleasant misplacement surprises. How do you know if it's too big, you ask? Well, it's easy: if your bracelet seems like it actually falls off your wrist and reaches the palm of your hand, then it is definitely too big for you. If this is indeed the case or alternatively if you want to get a second (and professional) opinion about the size of your bracelet, then you should go to your local jewelry store. The jeweler will be able to tell you for sure if the bracelet is indeed too big for you. If this is the case, then he will be able to perform the necessary size adjustments for your diamond tennis bracelet. With the appropriate equipment, the jeweler will carefully remove the diamond links, one by one until he reaches the perfect fit. Remember that with the remaining diamond links removed by the jeweler you could make another piece of jewelry altogether! If you are already at the jewelry store, why not consult with him regarding the best way to re-set these diamonds into another piece of jewelry? Depending on the quantity and size of the diamond links removed, the jeweler will be able to tell you which jewelry setting would be most appropriate for your excess diamonds. If the diamonds are smaller in size and fewer in number, then he would most probably suggest incorporating them into a diamond ring. On the other hand, if they are a bit larger and at a higher quantity, you could also set them into a pair of earrings or even encrust them in a special pendant. So as you can see, having a bigger sized diamond tennis bracelet isn't that bad after all. This way, after the proper size adjustments and the removal of excess diamond links from your bracelet, you could actually have two diamond jewelry items made out of one!

You know that your diamond bracelet is the right fit if you can fit a finger between your wrist and the chain, but only just. If your finger slips through easily, then the diamond bracelet is too big. This can be bothersome to the wearer, and may even slip off the wrist potentially damaging the diamond bracelet or being lost forever. If it is a struggle to fit one finger between the wrist and the chain, then the bracelet is clearly to small. With a diamond bracelet that is too small you risk the chances of snagging it on something and possibly breaking it.

There's the standard answer, which is already posted, and then there is the simple test: Does the diamond tennis bracelet feel like it fits? Does your diamond encrusted bracelet feel comfortable to you? If so, then I say, it's the correct fit. If not, then you should stop into your local jeweler's shop and ask him to take a look at the tennis bracelet. Let him know what's bothering you. Does the bracelet feel too loose? Does it slip off? Does it pinch at your skin or hairs? If so, then I'd say, the tennis bracelet's probably not the right fit.
