I really like square, emerald, asscher and baquette diamonds. I guess I'm just a square! nah, but seriously. The thing is, my 40th birthday is coming up and I really want to buy myself a three-stone diamond ring. I just haven't been able to find any three-stone rings that don't have round diamonds. Are there any three-stone diamond rings that feature square diamonds as opposed to round ones?

Absolutely not. There is no rule stating that 3 stone rings have to be with round stones. I also really like squarish diamonds such as princess, etc. Your best bet is to check out online jewelery companies, because they usually have huge selections. They also allow you to design your own ring, which may be a great option for you. I also wanted to tell you that I think its great that you are buying this present for yourself. I think there are too many people out there who wait for someone else such as their boyfriend or husband to buy it for them. This is a new era and more strong women should be buying diamonds for themselves. Good for you!

You must be looking in the wrong places missy, because there are tons of three-stone diamond rings out there that feature all different kinds of diamonds. I've seen three stone diamond rings with a centerpiece baquette diamond and two side half-moon diamonds, I have seen three stone diamond rings with three emerald-cut diamonds, and I've even seen a three-stone diamond ring with a centerpiece princess cut diamond and two side trillion cut diamonds. You should be able to either find or design your own ring without a problem. The best thing about three stone diamond rings is that they can look so different, and yet they are all the same kind of ring with the same beautiful significance of past, present and future.
