I've heard that some diamond dresses are never worn without body guards present. Is that true? Any examples?

I know it's pretty wild to imagine a dress so expensive that it would require professional protection, but I guess that's part of the package when you have 2.4 M EUR to spend on a dress! Thomas Heverin of Sligo, Ireland designed the exquisite diamond dress, which required two hundred hours of hand sewing four thousand diamonds! The bejeweled dress is absolutely stunning and it's actually meant to look as if the woman wearing it is wearing diamonds only. The sparkling diamond dress was worn by model Tanya Alvarez at the photo shoot for the launch of the Powers Whiskey Irish Grand National, which was held in Dublin, Ireland. Though the stunning diamond dress would be some very luxurious loot for any jewel thieves out there, there was no chance of this dress being stolen as Tanya Alvarez was guarded by 2 strapping security guards. After the photo shoot, Alvarez took off the dress and it was returned to Appleby Jewelers for the evening. Though the diamond dress wasn't exactly on sale for just any woman, Appleby Jewelers did collaborate with Power Whiskey to sponsor the Most Stylish Lady competition, where the first prize winner was awarded a beautiful diamond pendant. In short, if you happened to have a few million EUR to spend on a dress, you might want to spend a few extra bucks on the body guards, just to make sure you get home with all four thousand diamonds on your dress. Who said it was easy living in the lap of luxury?! Even a single diamond from this spectacular dress could be worth thousands of dollars so it is certainly possible that someone might try their luck and attempt to get away with at least a diamond or two off such a dress. Better play it safe and spring for security to protect a diamond dress.
