How many carats worth of diamonds are set in the bra, and what's the story behind it?

I think there have been several diamond bras designed by Victoria Secret, and I'm sure there'll be many more to come. The most expensive diamond bra was a black diamond encrusted bra, worth $3 million. According to the VS catalog, the bra was designed by Demiani, who managed to think of a design with 2350 (!) diamonds, in Cognac and Champagne colors. In the middle of the bra a 16 carat heart shape diamond is located. With all these diamonds I doubt if any woman could manage carrying so much weight... For Marisa Miller, though, it was an enjoyable task. The model seem to have a good time wearing the bra and having it displayed to all the curious eyes in the fashion show. It was one of the rare cases in which most eyes were actually pointing at the bra, instead of the model's breast.

Actually, everything that you heard about the Victoria's Secret diamond bra is true - because Victoria's Secret has made a few different diamond set bras over the years. Every year, Victoria's Secret designs a totally over the top diamond studded Fantasy Bra, that costs multiple millions of dollars. This year (2009), the Fantasy Bra had a price tag of $3 million, and will be modeled by Marisa Lima at the Victoria's Secret fashion show in December. The bra is decorated with a harlequin pattern in 18 karat gold, and studded with 2,355 white and cognac colored diamonds, totalling nearly 150 carats in weight. The icing on the cake is a champagne colored 16 carat heart shaped diamond. The diamond fantasy bra was designed by the Italian jewelry house Damiani, and took over 800 hours to hand make. Earlier this year Adriana Lima rocked the $5 million Black Diamond Fantasy Miracle Bra, set with hundreds of diamonds and rubies. The gem studded bra was designed by jeweler Martin Katz. Topping that, the Sexy Splendor Fantasy Bra cost a whopping $12.5 million, and was set with over 2,900 diamonds totaling 108.37 carats, plus 22 rubies weighing in at over 38 carats. The bra has a floral design made from white gold. The Hearts On Fire Diamond Fantasy bra cost $4.5 million, and was studded with over 800 carats in diamonds. All of the fantasy bras designed yearly by Victoria's Secret are for sale to the public at large, and I believe the diamond studded bras even appear in the Victoria's Secret catalog, mixed in with the more affordable undergarments.

Hey...whoever wrote that stupid comment at the top needs to have their head checked! Don't you know the names of the victoria secret models?! So which one wore this diamond bra? Marisa Miller or Adriana Lima! Get your details right, people! Anyway, either way I'd rather see what's under that diamond bra, than look at the bra. They should just have those girls walk up and down the catwalk with nothing on at all. Or with diamond body paint.
