Not that I'm in the market or anything... but I'm writing a paper on diamonds in fashion and I was wondering if bathing suits adorned with diamonds exist. Sowas anybody know?

Yeah, for sure. I know about at least one famous one - a 30 million dollar bikini created by Victoria's Secret in 2006, it had some of the rarest diamonds in there including a 51 carat diamond and a 30 carat emerald cut. All together it had over 150 carats. And this was an exceptionally tiny bikini. I'm not sure how anyone could go swimming in that.

I don't know about there being any diamond bathing suits, but I can't shake the feeling that diamonds on a bathing suit is probably a really bad I idea. Since all the jewelry-care information I have says 1) Always take off your fine jewelry before entering a pool since chlorine can be harmful AND 2) Always take off your fine jewelry before going to the beach because the sand, salt and debris in the ocean can be harmful .... I would imagine that you couldn't actually ever go swimming in a bathing suit like this unless you specifically made a careful and mild solution of warm, soapy water and filled your pool with that- and only with that.
