Is it true that there is a new Gucci belt out featuring a diamond-studded buckle?

Yes, it is true, there is a new Gucci belt on the market (OCT 2009) that has knocked the air out of everyone who has laid eyes on it. They are saying that it is most likely the world's most expensive belt, selling for approximately $250,000. The belt, designed by Stuart Hughes of Goldstriker International, showcases a platinum belt-buckle in the shape of the double G Gucci logo. A total of 30 carats of flawless diamonds are embedded on the platinum Gucci-logo buckle. Apparently, the belt was commissioned for an anonymous client of Republica Fashion, a club that offers extremely-high end products for the filthy rich. If this belt is a bit too overwhelming, Katherine Hughes, Stuart's wife, has designed two other diamond-encrusted luxury belts for Republica Fashion, one also in conjunction with Gucci, and another in conjunction with Prada. Katherine's Gucci belt also showcases a belt buckle in the shape of the double-G Gucci logo of which one G is coated completely with a total of $ 584 VVS1 diamonds. The diamonds come to a total of 3carats putting the belt at a more-swallowable $25,000. The Prada belt is decidedly less ostentatious, selling for $20,000. It's highlight is an oval-shaped belt-buckle engraved with the Prada logo and outlined with 294 diamonds that total 2 carats. Only five of each belt will be made, so you better get your wallet out fast if you were thinking of purchasing one!
