Are there diamond decorated deserts available for purcahse?

I wanted to do something really special for my wife on our 25th anniversary and I thought I'd organize a candlelight dinner in a romantic place with a fantastic dessert that featured diamond decorations. Does any one know if there is a confectionery that does this? Or a high-end confectionery company that would be willing to do this if I brought them the diamonds?

Well, If you want the dessert to sparkle but you can't find a way to have it decorated with real diamonds, there are sugar diamonds that are edible that sparkle, shimmer and delight both the eyes and the taste-buds. I think they are actually called Edible Sugar Diamonds and can be found on any high-end cake-decorating website. But if you aren't making the cake yourself, then I'm not sure how much this will help.

After searching a number of confectionery companies, I found Serendipity 3. This NY dessert company specializes in the most decadent deserts, including gold, silver, and diamond drizzled delicacies. I'd recommend you give them a call because it sounds to me like they have just what you are looking for. The owner of the desert restaurant, Stephen Bruce, partnered with the high-end jeweler, Euphoria New York, to create a special sundae. The sundae blends chocolate, cream, gold and diamonds. It is actually made with 5 grams of edible 23 karat gold (don't ask me how it is edible...thats what you need to ask them!) and comes served in a goblet that is also lined with this edible gold. The goblet is adorned at its base with an 18 karat gold bracelet that has a total of 1 carat of white diamonds. The gold is covered with home made whipped cream, sprinkled with another shimmer of gold, and topped with a side of La Madeline au Truffle from the famous Knipschild Chocolatier (This truffle alone costs $2,600 a pound). When you order the sundae, you are handed a golf spoon embedded with white and chocolate-colored diamonds which you can take home with you after indulging yourself. It is recommended that you order the desert a number of days in advance- no duh. Now, I'm not sure whether or not you are allowed to order this "to go"....talk to them. And for goodness sakes, find out what that edible gold is made of and how they made it edible!

Several years ago Bruster's ice cream company had a diamond and gold ice cream cone commissioned which they auctioned off for charity. The finished piece was set with over 630 diamonds total which added up to about 150 carats in weight. The waffle cone was created out of unpolished 18 carat gold, adorned with 87 square cut diamonds with a 5 carat yellow diamond in the center. The cone held diamond encrusted ice cream- completely covered in diamonds- and adorned with four red-enameled gold cherries. You could probably call them and have them make something specially for you since they've done it before, they might do it again. Although, their previous diamond endeavor was actually for charity, and this would be, well, for profit....

I found a diamond-encrusted fruit cake online that costs $1.65 million. Although the cake was made in 2005, I'm sure you can find someone to do something similar. This cake was made by a Tokyo pastry chef who took six months to design it, one month to make it, and studded it with 223 small white diamonds. Aside from the daimonds, the rest of the cake is edible. I'm pretty sure this cake was the most expensive in the world at the time. I know that it was exhibited in a number of diamond related displays.
