Here is the deal. I am designing a engagement ring for my Girlfriend and I have my Grandmothers solitaire round cut diamond that was passed down to me. It is approx .75ct. I want to make a three stone ring with a Ascher cut in the middle for the solitaire

I recommend contacting a local jeweler and find out how much two stones would cost together with the band and setting. If you're going to do this though, shop around to several different retailers so that you can get the best price.

As an alternative, contact an online retailer. I recommend Zoara.com. I used them before to build a ring for a girlfriend (now wife) and was able to choose the stones I wanted as well as the settings and band style.
