What kind of designs will the jewelry line include and where will the jewelry be available? I hope it's not too high end! I'd love to wear Alicia Key's brand jewelry but I'm not exactly a Saudi princess when it comes to finances...

Alicia Keys IS launching a jewelry collection in collaboration with jewelry designer Gisele Theriault - however, it will only be available starting in 2010. The Barber's Daughters collection that is available now is designed solely by Gisele Theriault and has nothing to do with Alicia Keys. The new jewelry collection won't debut until November 23, 2009 at a special event in new York at the Collette Blanchard Gallery. Those who attend the debut will be able to order the jewelry right away, but all the rest of you will have to wait until when the line is officially launched in 2010. Similar to the collection of jewelry currently available at The Barber's Daughters, the new collection by Alicia Keys will also be hand crafted, mostly from sterling silver and colored stones, and engraved with inspirational lines and sayings.

Yup you're spot on! The beautiful Alicia Keys is launching her own line of jewelry, together with Gisele Theriault, a chic jewelry designer from Canada. Lucky for your the jewelry is relatively affordable, and runs from about $85 to $2,500 at most. The collection is pretty unique and the jewelry is decorated with a lot of quotes, poetry and inspirational texts from such wise men as Buddha, Shakespeare and Gandhi. According to Alicia Keys, she wanted to find another way to touch people's hearts and inspiring them and writing the inspirational epithets on silver and gold jewelry was a creative way to get through to people. The collection sells under the brand name "The Barber's Daughters", and is available at the Collette Blanchard Gallery in the Lower East Side in Manhattan. The jewelry is also available online at the website thebarbersdaughters.com, and includes watches from stainless steel and sterling silver, engraved sterling silver rings, sterling silver bracelets, sterling silver earrings that incorporate colored stones like agate and Venetian glass, sterling and silver pendant necklaces with colored stones and engravings.
