The purest form of topaz is typically colorless and transparent although it is usually plagued with impurities. Typical topaz colors are wine- or yellow, pale gray, reddish-orange or pink. They can be changed into white, gray, pale green, blue, pink or reddish-yellow and transparent or translucent colored stones.
