What metals are usually used in men's wedding rings?

I'm getting married soon and my fiance insists that I have a wedding ring. I wanted to know what kinds of metals are used in men's wedding bands. I don't want to wear a ring at all, but since it's being insisted on, I'd really like something that is as masculine looking as possible.

While a large number of men may choose not to wear a wedding band, those who do choose to put a ring on their finger are by no means considered less masculine! Nowadays more and more men choose to show off the fact that they’ve found someone to marry them.
Typically a man's wedding band is both wider and thicker than a women's wedding band, making it a more masculine item of jewelry. You’ll also find that typically a man’s finger is bigger than a woman’s finger, therefore the ring looks chunkier and ultimately more masculine on a man’s hand. Men also tend to choose plain wedding bands, while a large number of women enjoy adding diamonds to their wedding ring. Choosing a plain wedding ring will help you to keep a masculine looking finger! There are plenty of styles you can try which have a more "masculine" feel. Try a classic cut which is traditional and won’t stand out too much. Otherwise go for a square cut which looks more masculine than a smooth rounded cut.
Most men's wedding bands are made of either gold, titanium or platinum; although ultimately you’ll find that it comes down to personal taste.

There is nothing effeminate about wearing a wedding band. Especially if you get one that has a simple design and has a thicker band. The metals that are typically used are white gold, yellow gold, platinum and titanium.
