What is the difference between a pearl collar and a pearl choker?

What are the differences between a pearl choker and a pearl collar? I was under the impression that they were one and the same. Are there any differences between pearl chokers and pearl collars?

Unlike regular necklaces which length's are measured in cm, pearl necklaces' lengths are indicated by how close they hang around the neck. A pearl collar is the shortest length n pearl necklaces. It measures 13 inches and is worn directly against the neck. Collars are often made up of a number of strands rather than one single strand. Pearl chocker measures 16 inches and are worn at the very bade of the neck (thus they are longer than pearl collars).
