Is a pave set diamond wedding ring matched with a pave set diamond engagement ring diamond overkill?

My fiance and I decided to look for wedding rings separately, so I don't care if mine matches his. I'm into diamonds and I really like the pave setting. My fiance knows this and when we got engaged he presented me with the most beautiful pave set vintage style diamond engagement ring. I'm wondering if wearing a pave set diamond wedding band with the engagement ring will look too flashy. What do you think?

This is a crazy question to ask a discussion board. If you like the way it looks then go for it! That's the beauty in engagement rings and wedding rings - they are a personal reflection of style. If you like tons of glimmering diamonds, then that's what you should have. Will some people think it's overkill? Maybe, probably. But who cares? Your rings are supposed to make you feel happy, not anyone else. I hope they look fantastic!

It will look blingy, but if you like it that is all that counts. Many woman love pave – be aware that rough and tumble wearing of pave diamond engagement rings may lead to the little itty bitty diamonds falling out.

Pave set wedding rings are beautiful. Like you, I love pave set diamond rings. Pave set rings are vintage, not too sparkley, but have just enough dazzle to make them fun to show off. They have this kind of old world Victorian elegance. I think you can definitely wear a pave set wedding band with a pace set engagement ring. It doesn't look flashy, it just looks like it matches.

A pave set diamond wedding band with a pave set diamond engagement ring sounds absolutely perfect to me. In fact, I'm surprised that you are even asking this question. I actually thought that these kind of rings are typically sold in sets. In any event, my humble opinion is that the more you match your wedding ring to the style of your engagement ring, the better it looks on your hand and the nicer it looks with your outfits. I've come across a number of pave set diamond wedding bands and you should be aware that there are some more vintage-looking than others, some thicker than others, some that are twisted, some that include sapphires and other colored gemstones....what I mean to say is that there is a wide variety of pave set diamond wedding bands and I'm sure you'll be able to find at least one that you feel looks nice and not flashy.
