Is palladium a good choice for a men's wedding ring?

My boyfriend and I are shopping for wedding rings, and we found a fantastic men's wedding ring made out of palladium. I've never heard of palladium before, certainly not in the context of wedding rings and jewelry. Is it a high quality metal? Will it last well over the years?

I myself am not a fan of Palladium for women especially in rings with small diamonds and lots of prongs.
Palladium has a grayish look- and can not be rhodium plated to give it the white bright look that you can with 14k white gold. I love palladium for men because it does have a more grayish gunmetal look which is more masculine and works well on mens wed bands.

Palladium isn't a bad choice, for both men's and women's wedding rings. I like it's silvery white color and the fact that it cannot be tarnished.

Though palladium is exceedingly rare and valuable, it is highly appealing due to its amazing silvery-white luster and sheen. The metal is extremely durable, possessing a low density and a high melting point. Since palladium is 12% lighter than platinum or white-gold yet still extremely durable, it is a good alternative to these heavier, denser alloys. In addition, palladium is easy to cast and is quite flexible. The metal can be hammered down to a thin sheet if need be, thus many pieces of jewelry have palladium embellishments. The only drawback that palladium jewelry has is its high prices. Sine palladium deposits are so rare, palladium market prices are high. However, markets fluctuate, prices points vary, thus, if you have your heart set on palladium jewelry, simply follow the market. Buy your palladium jewelry when the timing is right and the prices are low.

Personaly I don't think palladium is worthy of a wedding ring, especially when there are other great metals around. Moreover, it's not so common and rather expensive - why go there?!
