Sterling silver for men's bands - In or Out?

It seems that silver is becoming less prestigious than in the past. Is it considered unfashionable to wear a sterling silver man's ring or is silver still trendy?

Silver is still "in" and is considered one of the precious metals, which would keep it prestigious for a long time yet to come. As I see it, you should ask yourself whether you fancy silver or not, rather than putting efforts understanding what is considered fashionable.

Sterling silver rings are most definitely 'in'. Fashionable and chic, these precious metal rings are highly durable as well as incredibly stunning. The silver's white sheen and luster are extremely versatile when used in jewelry, i.e. the silver can be molded into any design, engraved with any pattern and set with any color of gemstone. Also, the metal is hypoallergenic, meaning it will not cause the wearer an allergic reaction which sometimes occurs when the alloy contains nickel or copper. Thus, it is a practical alternative to white gold and an affordable alternative to platinum or titanium.

For men's wedding bands, the guiding force is usually simplicity. As yellow gold has become less and less popular over the years, sterling silver has often replaced it – in all settings, including men's wedding bands. Sterling silver definitely has a classic understated look, but if you want to achieve a similar look without having to worry about the upkeep of your wedding band, I would suggest that you consider white gold. It has a similar visual effect to that of sterling silver, only you don't have to work hard to keep it looking good.

Sterling silver is very beautiful. It's the most reflective of all types of precious metals, On the other hand, silver requires some mainenance work that other metals do not, as it tarnishes rather easily.
