The advantage of tungsten and titanium are that they are very very durable. They will remain scratch free. But wearing titanium or tungsten can be dangerous if your man is working around machinery – if your ring gets caught in the machinery, you could get your finger lopped off. You will not be able to resize tungsten or titanium as well. They will be cheaper than gold or platinum. You will have to weigh the pros and cons.

Both tungsten and titanium are excellent choices of metal for men's wedding rings, especially due to the rise in the price of precious metals. Tungsten and titanium are both popular choices, largely due to the fact that they are affordable, durable, hypoallergenic metals that come in modern designs. Deciding between the two metals can be pretty tricky so the first things you need to know are the differences between them. Tungsten is more durable than titanium, as it is hard, impenetrable, and has the highest melting point of all metals. Tungsten wedding rings are actually 5 times harder than steel. Such wedding bands are almost impossible to cut, only certain emergency paramedic tools can get through tungsten. So if you opt for a tungsten wedding ring, scratches should be the farthest thing from your mind, as long as it has some carbide in it. Definitely make sure that the wedding ring is made of tungsten carbide and not tungsten cobalt, which can cause allergic reactions in some people, resulting in a green area on your finger where the wedding band was. Titanium wedding rings are also incredibly strong, even stronger than steel. Yet these wedding bands are a lot lighter than tungsten wedding rings. Titanium rings do not corrode since they are resistant to oxygen. However, they are much more likely to scratch than tungsten wedding rings. One thing's for sure, whether you choose a titanium wedding ring or a tungsten wedding ring you won't have to worry about either of the rings bending over the years. Just keep in mind that in terms of long lasting shine and a lighter material, tungsten wedding rings are the way to go. But if a titanium wedding band happens to catch your eye, you can still rest assured that rings made of this metal are built to last.
