I see this term often in the context of men's wedding bands, but I don't really get it. Aren't all wedding rings supposed to be comfort fit? Does that mean I'm screwed if my own wedding band ISN'T comfort fit??

Comfort fit wedding bands are more round on the inside so that they are easier to take on and off. Their rounded edges make them able to slide along the finger without pulling the skin. These rings tend to be worn by people that have to remove their ring on a regular basis and by people who are not used to wearing wedding rings. There are varying degrees of "comfort fit" wedding rings and they depend on your own personal preferences.

A comfort fit wedding band is basically a wedding band that is designed with a round inner surface meant to sit more comfortably on your finger as well as easily slide on and off of your finger. Comfort fit wedding bands are highly recommended for people who need to regularly remove their wedding rings, or for people who are not really used to wearing rings and find the wedding band to be heavy, bulky and gawky. Comfort fit wedding rings are generally more expensive than regular wedding bands since they require additional work, as well as additional metal (as the inner surface of a comfort fit wedding band is thicker). It is important that you get a comfortable and stylish wedding ring since you will hopefully be wearing this wedding band on your finger for a very long time.
